Footnotes:

  1. Teams will be recorded in multiple categories where they qualify in a single race  (eg in Masters and all-male) or in a season as a result of fielding a different team at a different race (eg Team ABC competed in 2 races in Premier Mixed and the rest in All Male would have a ranking in both categories)
  2. The OVERALL points allocation system is created to ensure teams are recognised for their efforts in staying together, even if they can't field a team in their chosen category.  Note that the "Premier Mixed" category ranking remains the prestigious category to determine the A1 team champions.
  3. An exception is for members of a team unranked due to a retired team member, but whose remaining members go on to finish the full course.   These finishing members receive A1 Club points equal to their theoretical ranked position and can use this race towards their A1 Club membership levels.  The retired team member only gets the 1 DNF point.
  4. Half course races need to be at least 24 hour in duration to earn points.

Rules

  1. A team may enter the series in one of the following categories: Premier Mixed, All Male, All Female, Masters (combined age 190 years+), Youth (combined age <= 110 years).
  2. Teams may draw from a pool of up to 7 team members throughout the series in order to qualify for category prizes. A team member nominated at the start of the season, who doesn’t end up racing does not count towards the teams total of 7.
  3. For a team to accumulate points towards the Adventure 1 series and to maintain an Adventure 1 ranking it must abide by the rules outlined for each sanctioned race (each race will have their own special rules)
  4. In the event of a season tie break, the team with the highest placed race results wins (most firsts, then most seconds etc). If still tied, then whichever team has the best head to head. If still tied then the lowest total time across all 4 races wins.
