Marokopa Munter

The first race in the A1 New Zealand Series will be the inaugural Marokopa Munter 24 Hour Adventure Race, on the 14-15th of October. The event will be held in the Marokopa/Waitomo area that is one of the North Island's best-kept secrets.

The region is packed with adventure potential and is just under a two hours drive from New Plymouth and 90 minutes from Hamilton, which makes it an easy access location from all over the North Island.

Bivouac Outdoor AR

The second race in the A1 New Zealand Series is the Bivouac Outdoors Whangamata Adventure Race, on the 11th of November. The event will be held just 20 minutes from Whangamata, one of New Zealand's best locations for producing great adventure athletes. It must be something to do with the climate!

SLMSC

The third race in the A1 New Zealand Series is the Southern Lakes Multisport Club 24hr Adventure Race, on the 17th and 18th of November. The event is based close to Alexandra that will no doubt provide some awesome biking, trekking and paddling options. There are some big mountains around the area and teams could reasonably expect to get in some serious elevation gain (and loss).

ARC

The fourth race in the A1 New Zealand Series is the Osprey Packs ARC 12hr Adventure Race, on the 10th of February 2018. You will get the chance to explore the oceans, rivers, coastlines, forests, bush and some of the hidden secrets of the Coromandel Peninsula, with some of your best friends. What could be better?

Absolute Wilderness

The fifth and final race in the A1 New Zealand Series is the Absolute Wilderness Adventure Race, on the 17th and 18th of February 2018, designed and organised by AR legend, Nathan Fa'avae.
