TREK. KAYAK. BIKE. NAVIGATE. SURVIVE. Adventure 1's New Zealand Adventure Racing Series, will be hosted for the first time in 2017 and combines five flagship adventure races; Marokopa Munter, Bivouac Outdoor 24hr, SLMC 24hr, Absolute Wilderness Race and Osprey Packs ARC.
Each race will be non-stop, of up to 24 hours in duration, and involve the core disciplines of trekking, kayaking, mountain biking, and navigation. Athletes will race in teams of four and points will be awarded at the end of each race according to a results scale and accumulated over the series to determine New Zealand’s champion team.

The Adventure 1 Series will feature some of the world’s best endurance athletes and bring together a growing legion of fans, enthusiasts, participants and sponsors, whilst showcasing iconic New Zealand landscapes and terrain along the way.
It's your gateway to a lifestyle and community with the creation of the A1 Club - a home to both elite athletes and newbies to the sport where you can build, achieve and share your adventure racing dreams, and inspire others as they marvel at what you achieve. Being part of the A1 Club will become synonymous with conquering the ultimate in human endurance sports.
The Adventure 1 NZ Series is designed to help develop adventure racing and offers a range of race lengths, diverse terrain and event locations on both the North and South Island. New Zealand's best adventure racing team will be the one who can best master the different event formats and diverse wilderness on offer in the Series.
Its ok to feel overwhelmed. Make no mistake this is tough racing and a lot of preparation and training goes into being race ready…. Not to mention pulling together a team.
